The Kidco Community Centre at Fraser in northeast Edmonton is located inside Fraser Elementary School. We offer full and part time programs for children attending grade 1 to grade 6 with a capacity for 30 children.
Fraser is a licensed and pre-accredited centre with high quality child care that embraces the individuality and diversity of each child and family in a safe and nurturing environment. Our learning through play approach is filled with creative activities to help minds, bodies, emotions and social skills develop. Our caregivers are trained to program and facilitate activities based on the children’s interests and events happening in the world that surrounds them. They are experts in their field, trained in early childhood education as well as safety standards, first-aid and CPR.
You’ll feel welcomed at our centre from the moment you step in. There is a comfort in the convenience of having a child care program right in the school. Our director and staff are a close-knit group with a passion for teaching and having fun with our kids and families. The summer months are filled with a wide variety of experiences and field trips for our after school children. With access to the school gym, children have the opportunity to experience physical activities in a fun and safe environment.
We offer snacks from our Kidco Super Snack Menu that are nutritious and well balanced. Our menu is developed to address the nutritional needs of growing children and to comply with the most recent version of Canada’s Food Guide. All snacks and meals are served at appropriate times in age-appropriate serving sizes.
We pride ourselves on flexible, reliable child care that kids love and parents trust. Our rates are competitive and qualifying families can receive subsidy at our centre. Contact the Centre Director or click here for more information from Alberta Child and Youth Services.
Meet The Director
My name is Chantelle and I am the director of the Fraser Kidco Community Location. I have a Bachelor of Education and have been working in childcare for almost five years. In my free time I travel, hike, do yoga and read. I have interests in lifetime learning and advocating for human rights and equality.
My favourite thing about our staff is their ability to build strong connections with the children, creating a true sense of community. We are fortunate to play a role in shaping the minds of our future leaders. We love to learn from the kids on a daily basis; they are so insightful! At Fraser, we are lucky to get full use of the gym and equipment so never have a shortage of physical activity and play.
Now that you know a bit more about me, I would love to meet you! I hope you come visit and see for yourself how Kidco Community can provide the right care and education for your child.
